Can my partner be active as a guest in my stream with our account?
Your partner can watch your stream as a viewer from another device with your joint account. Your partner can thus support you as a moderator in the chat while you concentrate on the livestream.
You can also watch other streams together on different end devices.
Can I stream with OBS / Streamlabs OBS?
It is basically possible to live stream with OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) by using a so called Virtual Webcam. You can find out more about this in our technical tips and tricks for streamers.
Can I play music in the stream?
Yes, you can play music in your stream. Please note that a GEMA license may be required to play certain pieces of music in the stream. We therefore recommend that you check with GEMA in advance.
Can I stream Reaction formats (picture-in-picture)?
In general, we do not recommend showing third-party material in the stream. In the case of pornography, for example, this also has to do with avoiding members adorning themselves with someone else's feathers. At the same time, it is not possible to play feature films, TV shows, sports broadcasts, etc. in the sense of targeted redistribution.
Reaction formats to publicly available material such as movie trailers or YouTube videos are possible. However, we advise you to ensure that you have the right to use the material beforehand. Additionally, it is important that it is not a mere duplication of the material, but that an added value is created (e.g. by commenting). The main focus should be on you as the streamer.
Are Let's Play formats allowed?
Yes, playing video and computer games in the stream is possible.
Am I allowed to surf through JOYclub in the stream?
Yes, as long as you only show publicly viewable content. Showing private ClubMail conversations, pictures or videos is prohibited. Freely accessible profile content may only be shown if the profile owner(s) have given their consent and are present in the stream - only "yes" means "yes"!
Is it allowed to stream while driving?
The traffic regulations allow the use of a mobile device while driving if an appropriate holder is used. We ask you to pay attention to yourself and other road users and, if necessary, to postpone your stream to another moment or to switch to a parking lot. At best, you have a passenger next to you who interacts with the chat for you.
