A fake profile pretends to be a real person. It wants to lure you on JOYclub and lead you to dubious, paid offers. They are also interested in your e-mail address and other personal data, which is often passed on to third parties. Here we inform you about fakes, how you can recognize them and how you can report them to our support.
How can I recognize a fake?
Fake profiles usually contain a sympathetic-looking picture and filled-in text modules. At the latest per club mail the lady points out that she
- unfortunately can't message you on JOYclub because she doesn't have a paid membership (whereas she would only have to verify herself as real to be able to write to you for free),
- gets too many requests but has no time to answer them all (except yours, of course),
- can send you private pictures and promises a deeper personal contact if you contact her e-mail address or phone number,
- prefers to use another dating platform where everything is easier.
If the ClubMail then refers to another website or asks for your e-mail address, it is most likely a fake.
Beware of such messages : Examples from practice
We have made phone numbers, addresses, etc. unrecognizable in the following by "xxxx".
- Am looking for a hot affair and you ?! Am still on the road, but want to text? W _ A pp? (O I63 , - XXX - 44_ 566 ) Best regards Linn
- Hey you, thank you. I don't feel comfortable here and don't want to stay here. You can find me on xxxxx18 under my username xxxxx38. I am looking forward to meet you, LG, Franzi

Hello, after my previous experiences I had to overcome myself to register again.
Unfortunately, I now have the impression that I will never find anyone suitable here. There are just too many men after me and most of them are rather spammers, fakes and men who seem to annoy every woman just out of curiosity.
But I want only one, the right one and I'm not going to find that here.
On the advice of my girlfriend I have now registered on xxxxx. n e t.
I will be there tonight. Would be nice if I could meet you there under better conditions, because serious, discreet and all people who are really looking for someone - no fakes, no spammers, a niche just for us.
I would be very happy to meet you there and maybe even in the real world if there are sparks between us.
Kisses, see you later,
Karin
How can I help in the fight against fakes?
The bigger our community gets, the more we depend on your help to discover fakes as soon as possible and to make them harmless. This is how you can support us in the fight against fakes:
This is how you report a ClubMail to Support
If you receive a dubious ClubMail, you can simply forward it to our support by clicking on the small arrow next to the time stamp below the message and selecting "Report to support".
How to report a profile to support
You can report a profile by clicking on the menu in the upper right corner next to the ClubMail button and selecting the item "Report this profile". Please include sufficient evidence for factual reports (unless the profile or the content of a ClubMail is quite obvious).
Do not give personal data to strangers
Communication via our ClubMails is secure. Therefore, we would like to warn you not to give out personal data - including your e-mail address or telephone number - to strangers. Before you do this, you should have had intensive contact and know them personally. Otherwise, there is a risk that these contact details will end up on another spam mailing list or will be otherwise misused for unknown purposes.
We wish you an exciting time in our community, with many great, real members!
