How do I find events in my and other regions?
Under Dates & Events you have the possibility to filter the search by day of the week or date, city or postal code and - if desired - the corresponding radius, the category or rating of the clubs and organizers. In the category you can choose what exactly you are looking for, including swinger party, private party, members meeting etc.
How can I remember an event?
If you find an event interesting, you can make a note of it in the detailed view by clicking on the corresponding button without registering right away.
Important: Making a note of an event is not yet the same as registering for it, but only a non-binding note for yourself. If you actually want to attend the event, please register in good time before the event using the registration function.
If you have bookmarked a particular event, you will receive a reminder 10 days and then again 3 days before the date of the event, asking you if you would like to finally register.
How do I register for an event?
To register for an event, click on the title of the event. This will open the organizer's profile in a large view, where you can get more detailed information about the event and also register directly.
Depending on which registration option the organizer has chosen, you will either receive a confirmation email immediately after registering or the organizer will contact you again later.
How can I register anonymously?
You can register anonymously for an event by checking the box "Register anonymously". An anonymous placeholder will be displayed on the guest list and your registration will not appear on your pinboard. Only the organizer will see you.
How can I anonymize my registration later?
You can anonymize your registration for an event in the event itself after it has taken place.
Please note that this will not delete the corresponding entry on your pinboard.
How can I prevent the display of registrations in my profile?
By default, every registration for an event generates a corresponding entry on your profile, which also appears on your pinboard and can therefore be viewed by all members.
In your profile settings under "Privacy" you can define whether your registrations should be displayed or not. To suppress the display, simply set the item "Show logins" to "No" and don't forget to save the settings.
Note: The change does not take effect retroactively, but only for future registrations.
How do I get the JOYclub discount of 10%?
The JOYclub discount of 10% is offered by most event organizers and is reserved exclusively for premium members. You can recognize such an event in the event calendar by the fact that the entry is highlighted and marked by an additional red banner "JOYclub discount". If you register for such an event as a premium member, the discounted rate is automatically preselected. On your registration coupon you will also see a corresponding note for the event organizer later on.
When will I receive confirmation of my registration?
Depending on whether the organizer has activated a waiting list, you will either receive a confirmation email immediately after your registration or you will be contacted by the organizer later.
Where can I find an overview of my registrations?
You can find an overview of your preregistered events as well as your past and future registrations under "Dates & Events" under the tab "My Events" or in the upper right corner under the menu item "My Event Registrations".
Please note: Pre-registrations or registrations for private group events will generally not appear publicly on your profile.
How can I print or save my event registration?
Many clubs and event organizers need a written proof of your JOYclub registration for their billing at the entrance. Only then can discounts such as the premium discount be granted.
You can print out your ticket for an event directly after registration. However, you can also print it out later without any problems. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Call up the event for which you are registered.
- Directly above the guest list you will find the red button "Print registration".
- You can either open the registration for immediate printing or save it if you want to print it later. After saving the registration you will find it as a PDF file in the folder you selected.
How can I deregister from an event?
First, look for the event in the top right menu under "My event registrations" and click on it once. In the following overview you will find the button to cancel your registration. The organizer will be notified and will contact you if necessary. All further inquiries can then be clarified directly with the organizer.
Basically, a cancellation is only possible until the beginning of an event.
If the event has already started, you can anonymize your registration afterwards.
How can I rate an event?
On the day after the event you will receive a notification that leads you directly to the rating. Select the smiley with which you would like to rate the event and then write a short, informative text. The rating of all guests will then appear directly in the event.
Hints:
- Even if you have registered anonymously for the event, your name and profile picture will appear in the rating. An anonymous rating is not possible.
- Only authenticated members can submit a rating.
- You can edit your rating once. You also have the option to delete it completely. Please note, however, that a new rating is not possible afterwards.
How can I display my favorite clubs in my profile?
You can display your favorite clubs in your profile by going to the club's profile and clicking on "Like". Clicking on "Like" again opens the contact entry of the club. There you can "Become a Fan" in the bottom menu and you will be displayed as a "Fan" in the club's profile.
Who is liable for events?
The JOYclub is generally not liable. As a rule, the organizer is liable.
An exception to this are member meetings: Participants take part in the event at their own risk. They bear sole responsibility under civil and criminal law for all damage caused by them. Participants waive their right to assert claims of any kind against the organizer for damages arising in connection with the event. Excluded from this exclusion of liability are damages resulting from injury to life, body or health that are based on an intentional or negligent breach of duty by the organizer and/or its vicarious agents as well as other damages that are based on an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty by the organizer or its vicarious agents and are related to the event.
