Types of photo albums
In JOYclub there are different ways to save pictures and manage them in the albums.
- "Photos of me", this is the main album. Only pictures that show you as the profile owner are allowed there. These pictures can be used as profile pictures in your profile.
- "Current", here pictures are stored that were uploaded only for status messages or dates.
- Secondary albums are all other photo albums. You can give them your own names and you as the profile owner do not necessarily have to be seen in the pictures. As an example, pictures of landscapes or parties can be shared there.
- Private albums: to create a private album you need a premium membership. These albums are not visible like regular main or secondary albums. Only after an explicit activation for your friends or another member the content can be viewed.
- The cover art is a special feature to individualize your own profile. A separate picture can be displayed there. This will not be assigned to an album when uploading. In addition to uploading an image, you can also select an existing image from your albums for this purpose.
Upload private pictures / set album to private
As a premium member you can already decide when creating a new album whether the sharing this privately or publicly.
If you want to set an already created album to private, you have to select the corresponding album in your photo management and click on "Edit album". Now you have the possibility to change it from public to private. You can either share the album with selected members or with your entire friends list. The latter has the advantage that the album will automatically unlock itself for newly added friends.
By clicking on "Manage access rights" you can unlock an album for selected contacts at any time. You have the option to either select individual members from the list of your contacts, to take over the release of already existing albums or to add certain users by manual input.
Here you can edit your pictures and albums.
